Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Counterintelligence Officer to fulfill a critical role supporting a client in the Washington Metropolitan Area. This position involves training personnel, conducting investigations, and serving as the primary point of contact for counterintelligence related matters within the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI).

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive Counterintelligence (CI) and Insider Threat training and briefings using diverse instructional techniques including lectures, tailored presentations, and facilitation for groups of varying sizes.
  • Support CI and Insider Threat investigations by collaborating with internal customers, Intelligence Community (IC) agencies, and the Department of Justice (DOJ).
  • Evaluate existing ODNI component business processes to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies aligned with corporate CI standards.
  • Lead or contribute as a subject matter expert in monthly webinar sessions on CI topics.
  • Collect and assess evidence from a variety of platforms, including open-source intelligence, to support investigations.
  • Conduct interviews, document investigative activities, and assist in forming and implementing mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate with multiple agencies to share investigative leads and maintain effective working relationships that enhance organizational capabilities.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Current Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with Polygraph is mandatory.
  • Professional training in Counterintelligence obtained through the Department of Defense (DoD) or federal law enforcement agencies.
  • Significant experience performing CI inquiries and investigations, including research, analysis, and training development.
  • Proven ability to identify, analyze, and assess Foreign Intelligence Service (FIS) vulnerabilities.
  • Experience in producing Finished Intelligence products and delivering briefings to senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated skills in conducting interviews and collaborating with Intelligence Community partners.
  • Proficiency in utilizing classified and open-source databases for investigative work.
  • Bachelor's degree with 12 to 15 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 10 to 13 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 10 years of professional engagement with or within the Intelligence Community.
