Cost Controller

Overview

This position champions and implements comprehensive financial and strategic property-wide initiatives to deliver products and services that exceed expectations of both the brand's targeted customers and workforce. It offers financial expertise to successfully execute brand service strategies and initiatives while optimizing ROI.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate holds a four-year bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with no mandatory prior work experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data and market trends to support strategic decision-making.
• Assist in forecasting sales in relation to expenses and contribute to the creation of annual budgets.
• Monitor and analyze actual sales compared to projected figures.
• Identify opportunities for profit improvement through cost-benefit analysis and exploring new business avenues.
• Evaluate budget variance between forecasted and actual wages to improve budget efficiency.
• Innovate and execute business plans by combining creativity and practicality.
• Advocate and uphold sound business and financial decisions to reinforce competitive advantages.
• Implement appropriate internal controls to manage risks.
• Lead and influence teams with integrity, clear communication, and accountability enforcement.
• Align team and departmental goals with organizational priorities and ensure timely report submissions.
• Maintain accurate profit and loss records and ensure compliance with audit processes, making necessary corrections.
• Oversee tax compliance, ensuring timely collection and accrual.
• Generate timely and accurate financial reports and presentations.
• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Interpret owner perspectives and ROI expectations, engaging ownership in critical financial decisions.
• Advise executive management on financial matters and facilitate strategic discussions.
• Support human resources activities including training, development plans, and policy administration.

Additional Information
