Role overview
This is a full-time remote accounting opportunity for a senior-level professional supporting one of the client organizations. The position focuses on accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and managing both month-end and year-end close activities while working from any location in Ireland or remotely.
Compensation
The annual payout for this position is USD 110,000 to USD 150,000.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and validate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with GAAP.
- Take ownership of month-end and year-end close cycles, including reconciliations and accounting adjustments.
- Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local tax rules and related filings.
- Review financial results to spot patterns, explain variances, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Work with teams across the business to assist with budgeting, forecasting, and broader strategic planning.
Required background and skills
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline is required.
- CPA certification is preferred, and CPA candidates are also encouraged.
- At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience is needed, with a minimum of 2 years in a senior capacity.
- Strong hands-on experience with ERP platforms and advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
- Solid understanding of US GAAP and prior involvement in financial audits.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, communication skills, and strong attention to detail.
