Job Overview

The Contract Manager will oversee all contractual and commercial aspects of the PMO project from the client's perspective. This role requires an experienced Saudi professional who can review project activities contractually, identify risks and gaps, safeguard company interests, manage contractual communication, and assist with claims and dispute resolution. The candidate will be the main contractual advisor to the Project Director and PMO team, guiding contract administration, risk management, and stakeholder liaison.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret the project contract and related documents ensuring compliance with all terms and deliverables.
  • Monitor contract performance to identify contractual risks and issues.
  • Advise project management on contractual effects of decisions, variations, and changes.
  • Keep detailed records of approvals, correspondence, and contractual matters.
  • Conduct thorough contractual reviews to pinpoint gaps, risks, and potential liabilities.
  • Formulate strategies to fortify the company’s contractual position and mitigate risks.
  • Analyze client instructions and contract amendments for their impact.
  • Assess events that could lead to claims, time extensions, or compensation and develop supporting documentation.
  • Assist in disputes, negotiations, mediation, and resolution efforts.
  • Draft and manage professional contractual correspondence, ensuring alignment with contract requirements.
  • Serve as the contractual liaison with the client, attending meetings and providing advice.
  • Support negotiations concerning contract amendments and commercial matters.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with client representatives and stakeholders.
  • Support PMO governance by ensuring contractual compliance in project reports and deliverables.
  • Advise on obligations, acceptance processes, and contractual milestones.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Saudi National.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Master’s degree or professional certification is an advantage.
  • 8 to 12 years of contract management and administration experience.
  • Experience in PMO, infrastructure, utilities, or government projects.
  • Familiarity with government entities and public-sector projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Saudi government procurement and contracting procedures.
