Role Overview

The position of Construction Supervisor is full-time and requires presence at the site in Kampala. The individual will oversee daily construction operations, ensuring that projects are executed safely, within timeline, and meet quality benchmarks. Responsibilities include managing site personnel and subcontractors, coordinating work schedules, and tracking progress against project plans and specifications. The supervisor performs frequent site inspections, upholds all safety protocols, and ensures adherence to building codes and company requirements.

This role involves communication with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to address any on-site challenges, manage resources and materials efficiently, and prepare concise reports on completed work and encountered issues.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven supervisory experience on residential or commercial construction sites.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with teams, contractors, and stakeholders effectively.
• Keen inspection abilities for workmanship, materials, and compliance with technical drawings and building standards.
• In-depth knowledge of construction safety regulations with a track record of enforcing safety measures on site.
• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields is desirable.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction documents proficiently.
• Excellent organizational capabilities, problem-solving aptitude, and commitment to detail and quality.
• Experience working in Uganda’s construction sector and awareness of local building regulations is an asset.
