Position Summary
The Configuration Technician will manage the accuracy and upkeep of the Product Configurator within the Teamcenter database. This role involves reviewing engineering documentation and testing product variants to ensure correctness within the configurator.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain all product variant configurations and define rules to guarantee valid variant options.
- Analyze engineering documents for integration of new variants in the Product Configurator.
- Establish and update product libraries, maintaining their precision.
- Execute validation tests in the Product Configurator to verify rule compliance and variant accuracy.
- Collaborate with Engineering teams to assess the feasibility of new option variants for configurator inclusion.
- Engage in process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and configurability.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Post-secondary education in engineering or a related field.
- Between 2 to 3 years of experience working in an engineering environment.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, SharePoint Online, and Power Automate (MS Flow).
- Familiarity with Siemens Teamcenter and Oracle applications is advantageous.
- Experience with Product Configurator software is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
