Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and qualified Commis Chef to join our lively kitchen team on a full-time or part-time basis. This role suits individuals passionate about culinary arts, eager to learn, and aiming to build their careers in a dynamic, quality-focused kitchen setting. Evening and overnight shift availability is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and presenting dishes for à la carte, buffet, banquets, and room service.
• Support daily mise-en-place and kitchen preparation to ensure efficient service flow.
• Prepare ingredients and cook basic dishes under the supervision of senior chefs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstation following food safety and hygiene standards.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to consistently deliver high-quality meals.
• Take direction from senior chefs to grow technical skills and kitchen knowledge.
• Contribute positively to the team environment and support effective service during busy times.

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience in a hotel kitchen or similar fast-paced culinary environment.
• Experience with à la carte service is highly valued, especially in restaurant settings.
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities under pressure.
• Positive attitude, teamwork focus, and clear communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn, take guidance, and continuously enhance culinary skills.
• Must be available for evening and overnight shifts.
