Commi I at Marriott International in Riyadh

Position Overview

Marriott International's Riyadh location is seeking a Commi I to join their team. This non-management role involves preparing special meals or substitute dishes, managing oven and grill temperatures, and ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation. The position requires thawing frozen food properly, portion control, food garnishing, and maintaining food logs. The Commi I monitors both the quality and quantity of prepared items and communicates needs during busy times.

Key Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare food following recipes, quality, and presentation criteria
• Prepare cold food items as required
• Assist in maintaining food inventory by informing chefs of excess items for daily specials
• Communicate out-of-stock or special menu items to Food & Beverage staff
• Provide support to management by helping with employee hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, and motivation
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies and complete required safety training
• Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information
• Anticipate and respond to guest service needs professionally
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve shared goals
• Perform physical tasks including extended standing, bending, lifting objects up to 25 pounds
• Complete any additional tasks from supervisors as needed

Qualifications

• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree preferred
• Minimum three years of relevant work experience
• No previous supervisory experience required
• No specific licenses or certifications necessary
