CNC Operator I - Manufacturing Role in Saudi Arabia

Primary Role Overview

The CNC Operator I is responsible for operating CNC machinery and associated equipment under direct supervision to efficiently and safely produce machined parts. This position reports to the Machine Shop Lead.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines following approved programs, setup instructions, and work sheets.
• Prepare and stage raw materials by cutting and identifying them using saws and other support machines.
• Load and unload materials while ensuring traceability standards are met.
• Carry out first-piece, in-process, and final quality inspections.
• Accurately document production metrics, quality records, and operational data.
• Perform routine tool changes and preventive maintenance tasks under supervision.
• Assist with machine setups and production changeovers.
• Detect and report any safety, quality, tooling, material, or equipment issues promptly.
• Maintain workplace cleanliness and adhere to 5S organizational principles.
• Follow all Packers Plus protocols related to quality, safety, operations, and traceability.

Experience and Skills Required

• Preferably 1 to 3 years of experience in manufacturing, machining, or CNC operation roles.
• Competent in reading engineering blueprints and manufacturing documents.
• Skilled in utilizing precision measuring tools.
• Basic knowledge of machining processes.

Education and Training

• Technical diploma, vocational education, machinist apprenticeship, or equivalent practical experience preferred.
• First Aid certification is a valuable asset.
• On-the-job training provided by Packers Plus as needed.

Physical, Safety, and Business Requirements

• Adherence to Packers Plus Health and Safety Program is mandatory.
• Ability to lift weights up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and being on call if necessary.
• Position requires compliance with safety-sensitive procedures.
• Pre-employment medical health assessment is required.
• Subject to pre-employment and post-incident drug and alcohol tests, as well as random and reasonable cause testing.
