About the Role
Livingstone Road Primary Federation is inviting applications for the position of Cleaner. The role primarily involves maintaining cleanliness of various surfaces, fixtures, and equipment within the school Premises. The appointee will work towards ensuring hygiene standards using appropriate cleaning procedures and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning of hard and floor surfaces, walls, windows, fixtures, and fittings utilizing powered tools when necessary to meet established standards.
- Observing and adhering to health and safety protocols within the building environment.
- Promptly reporting any equipment malfunctions, hazards, or incidents to supervisory personnel such as the Cleaner in Charge or Site Manager.
- Maintaining high hygiene levels by using designated cloths and mops for different areas including toilets, classrooms, and food preparation spaces.
- Completing required documentation or records related to cleaning activities as per school policies.
- Fostering good working relationships with other staff and cooperating with adjustments in daily routines to facilitate the school's operations.
- Performing additional duties as assigned that align with the level and nature of the post, which may vary periodically.
- Complying with all relevant institutional policies, statutory requirements including Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety at Work Act, and Data Protection Act.
- Demonstrating commitment to child safeguarding, promoting children's welfare in line with school procedures and the Every Child Matters framework.
