About the Role
Aldar Education seeks dedicated UAE National Classroom Assistants for immediate employment starting December 2025 at Abdulla Bin Otaiba Charter School in Abu Dhabi. This American Curriculum primary school serves mixed-gender students and is committed to excellence through high academic standards and a supportive learning environment. Key Responsibilities
- Assist individual students or small groups inside and outside of the classroom to encourage full participation in daily activities, supporting their social, emotional, and physical development.
- Proactively address health and safety concerns within the school environment.
- Support and help implement personalized education programs, tracking pupil progress and adjusting assistance accordingly.
- Aid students with additional needs, including emotional or behavioral challenges, and foster development of social skills.
- Help teachers maintain accurate student records and prepare student work displays.
- Support teaching staff with administrative duties such as photocopying and organizing materials.
- Adhere to school policies, health and safety regulations, and model professionalism in dress, punctuality, and attendance.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with specialists such as speech and occupational therapists.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the school principal.
Specific Academic Duties
- Provide group and individual instructional support under teacher direction.
- Demonstrate learning activities and monitor assigned work, including progress checking and corrections.
- Keep students focused, recognize achievements, and report progress to teaching staff.
- Organize materials at day’s end and oversee student attendance.
- Supervise students in various settings and contribute to behavior management policies that promote self-esteem.
- Administer discipline aligned with school guidelines when necessary.
Qualifications and Experience
- Applicants must be UAE Nationals holding at minimum a secondary school certificate or equivalent bachelor’s degree.
- A minimum of two years teaching experience in UAE schools is required.
- Proficiency in English or the language used in the school curriculum is essential.
