About Chennai Chess Club
Chennai Chess Club is one of India's rapidly expanding chess communities, focused on providing excellent chess education globally and arranging vibrant meetups within Chennai. Serving over 1500 students worldwide and conducting various local events, it stands as a premier hub for chess enthusiasts. The club aims to nurture and popularize chess through innovative instruction and a dedicated community.
Role Overview
This position is a full-time remote Chess Coach role requiring fluency in both Tamil and English. The coach will instruct players across different proficiency levels, create lesson plans, host online coaching sessions, and offer personalized feedback to enhance players' skills. Duties also cover preparing students for competitive chess events, arranging practice sessions, and fostering a constructive learning space.
Qualifications & Skills
- Fluency in Tamil and English languages.
- Possession of an international FIDE rating.
- Prior experience in chess coaching or teaching.
- Capability to design and execute effective lesson plans.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiastic about chess with dedication to students' growth.
Preferred Credentials
- Familiarity with online teaching tools and platforms.
- Academic background in Education, Sports, or related disciplines advantageous.
