Role Overview
Located in Al Khobar, Eastern Saudi Arabia, this Chef de Partie position entails managing kitchen operations, preparing and delivering a variety of dishes, and overseeing junior kitchen staff.
Primary Duties
- Prepare food, beverages, materials, and equipment ahead of service times.
- Cook and present menu dishes accurately according to restaurant standards.
- Supervise and guide kitchen team members including commis, cooks, kitchen attendants, and stewards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of personal workstations.
- Lead shift briefings during the manager's absence to communicate operational and hotel activity details.
- Collaborate with the superior and People Services Manager to enhance staff productivity and departmental performance.
- Deliver on-the-job training that aligns with departmental protocols while tracking each staff member's progress.
- Contribute to probation evaluations and formal performance reviews in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure new employees complete corporate orientation within the first month and departmental orientation within two weeks of joining.
- Provide coaching, counseling, and disciplinary feedback following hotel policies to improve staff conduct and performance.
- Assist with preparing and managing the departmental budget, understanding financial objectives.
- Implement recycling initiatives and promote cost-saving measures among staff.
- Document security incidents and accidents according to hotel procedures.
- Report operational difficulties, guest feedback, or other relevant matters to supervisors promptly.
- Perform additional assigned duties as needed to meet business and hotel requirements.
