Position Summary and Responsibilities

• Consistently prepare and serve authentic Arabic dishes meeting the highest standards of taste, quality, and aesthetics.
• Organize and manage your designated kitchen section efficiently including mise en place preparation to ensure seamless daily operations.
• Upkeep of stringent food hygiene, cleanliness, sanitation, along with maintaining personal grooming standards throughout shifts.
• Ensure control over portion sizes, food presentation, and quality checks prior to plating and service.
• Regularly supervise inventory levels of perishables, initiate orders, and guarantee proper storage with correct first-in-first-out rotation.
• Strictly monitor and minimize food wastage while adhering to predefined food-cost controls and ordering protocols.
• Guide, mentor, and train Demi Chefs and junior kitchen staff working within your section.
• Support meal services across breakfast, lunch, and dinner shifts ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
• Adhere to recipes, daily specials, promotions, and hotel culinary standards to maintain consistent quality throughout all Arabic cuisine offerings.
• Collaborate closely with the Sous Chef and the broader culinary team; assist other kitchen sections as needed while embodying a positive and professional attitude.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience as a Chef de Partie within a 5-star hotel or upscale hospitality setting.
• Demonstrated expertise in Arabic and Middle Eastern culinary practices.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Arabic cooking methods, ingredient selection, traditional recipes, and dish preparation.
• Formal culinary education or professional training is an asset.
• Firm understanding of food safety regulations including HACCP standards, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
• Capability to independently manage a kitchen section while maintaining consistent culinary excellence.
• Experience in mise en place, precise portioning, food prep, and presentation aligned with luxury hotel requirements.
• Proficiency in food-cost management, inventory rotation, ordering, and waste control.
• Strong leadership skills to effectively communicate, train, and oversee junior staff.
• Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment with flexibility for shift work including weekends and holidays.
