Carpenter

About the Role

Join our team as a dedicated Carpenter based in Dubai, UAE, within the facilities management division. You will play a key role in constructing, installing, and repairing a variety of wooden structures and furnishings throughout the organization, contributing to the upkeep and enhancement of our properties.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, install, and repair wooden frameworks, fixtures, and furniture pieces。
• Interpret blueprints, technical plans, and detailed specifications to understand project needs。
• Choose the suitable materials and tools needed for each carpentry task。
• Accurately measure, cut, and shape wood and related materials including plastics。
• Fit doors, windows, trims, and necessary hardware installations。
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance on wooden fixtures and equipment to extend their lifespan。
• Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines to ensure a secure workplace environment。
• Work collaboratively with team members and cross-departmentally to complete projects within timelines。
• Keep detailed records of tasks performed and materials utilized.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Completion of high school or equivalent; possession of a valid carpenter certification is preferred.
• Between three to five years of carpentry experience, with a strong understanding of construction methods and safety compliance.
• Ability to read and work from blueprints and use an array of carpentry tools proficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Good communication abilities with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Physical capability to lift heavy materials and work in various physical positions.
• Willingness to work flexible hours which may include evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Additional Information

Knowledge of additional languages will be considered an advantage.
