This role is community-centered, emphasizing meaningful engagement with clients to support their employment journeys.
Role Overview
As a Career Coach, you will be instrumental in implementing the Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) program across regions in New South Wales and Queensland, helping participants pursue meaningful career paths. The position is primarily based in Tuggerah with occasional work at The Entrance and Gosford.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop career opportunities that align with participants' strengths, ensuring sustainable job placements.
- Advocate for and promote inclusive employment, focusing on individuals with disabilities, injuries, or health conditions.
- Collaborate with employers to address workforce skill gaps via role customization and inclusive recruitment methods.
- Arrange work experience opportunities to hone participant skills and evaluate the compatibility between employers and clients.
- Prepare workplaces by facilitating reasonable adjustments and providing disability confidence training to support participant retention.
- Deliver employer training sessions to enhance awareness and foster inclusive workplace cultures.
- Establish and maintain employer and community partnerships to expand employment options.
- Represent Breakthru as a dependable provider supporting persons with disabilities in achieving their career objectives.
- Consistently achieve or surpass internal and external performance goals.
- Embody and promote Breakthru's core values of inclusion, empowerment, and person-centered approaches.

The ideal candidate brings enthusiasm, empathy, and a dedicated focus on facilitating employment opportunities for people with disabilities or other challenges. You should thrive in a dynamic, client-centered environment, possess strong organizational skills, and demonstrate effectiveness in building trust and partnerships.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Desirable qualifications in Employment Services or Human Services.
- Proven track record of meeting performance indicators and efficiently managing workloads.
- Deep understanding of employment obstacles related to disability, injury, or health conditions.
- Expertise in providing customized support and crafting client-centric employment plans.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and stakeholder relationship skills.
- Possession of a valid Driver’s License is mandatory.
