Overview
Unify is hiring a Buyer in Dundalk, County Louth, with hybrid working available. The salary is up to €50,000 depending on experience. The company partners on complex infrastructure and technical projects across Ireland and Europe, and this role supports procurement activity for multiple high-value projects.
This position suits a procurement professional who is comfortable in a busy environment, can manage supplier relationships, negotiate commercial terms, and keep materials and services moving on schedule and within budget.
Role summary
In this position, you will contribute to project delivery by handling sourcing, purchasing, and supply chain coordination. You will work with internal teams and outside suppliers to make sure goods and services are bought efficiently while meeting quality, cost, and delivery targets.
Responsibilities
- Purchase materials, equipment, and services from approved suppliers.
- Request and compare quotations to secure strong commercial value.
- Negotiate prices, delivery times, and supplier terms.
- Create and track purchase orders, including delivery follow-up.
- Support sourcing approaches that improve cost control and supply continuity.
- Review supplier performance against quality, cost, and delivery targets.
- Coordinate with suppliers on order updates, transport, and delivery timing.
- Assist with supplier onboarding and compliance checks.
- Partner with project, engineering, commercial, and operations teams.
- Make sure procurement work aligns with project schedules and milestones.
- Spot supply chain risks early and help reduce their impact.
- Look for opportunities to save costs and improve processes.
- Support the adoption of efficient purchasing methods.
- Monitor deliveries and coordinate movement of materials to project sites.
- Work with logistics teams to ensure accurate, timely deliveries.
- Assist with inventory planning and stock management where needed.
- Keep procurement documentation complete and up to date.
- Ensure buying activity follows company rules and contractual commitments.
- Support quality, sustainability, and health and safety goals.
- Prepare procurement reports and maintain records suitable for audit.
Requirements
- Experience in a Buyer, Purchasing, Procurement, or Supply Chain position.
- Strong capability in negotiation and supplier relationship management.
- Hands-on experience with ERP, MRP, or procurement platforms.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other business applications.
- Strong commercial judgement and analytical thinking.
- ITC procurement experience is essential.
Compensation
Salary is offered up to €50,000 per year, depending on experience.
