Company Overview

Zona Dance Company, based in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal, has been committed to delivering outstanding dance education for over fifteen years. The company fosters a supportive atmosphere that encourages children and young people to develop confidence, creativity, and self-expression.

Role Overview

As Zona embarks on a new phase, we are seeking a highly motivated individual to lead and enhance our organizational operations, strengthening the foundation behind our artistic endeavors. This position goes beyond traditional administrative duties, expecting proactive ownership, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to implement improved systems and see initiatives through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and enhance daily business operations, systems, and processes.
  • Manage customer experience, handle enquiries, and facilitate enrollments.
  • Focus on customer retention and expanding program participation.
  • Administer financial and payroll tasks efficiently.
  • Support staff administration and operational needs.
  • Coordinate events, examinations, and programs.
  • Drive business development initiatives and promote revenue growth.

Achieving sustainable revenue growth, boosting enrollment, increasing retention, and enhancing operational effectiveness will be vital success indicators for this role.

Candidate Profile

We seek a candidate who demonstrates ownership, foresight, and task completion. Exceptional organizational aptitude, strong judgment, confident communication, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities independently are essential.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with computers including email, document editing, spreadsheets, and standard business software.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capability to handle multiple priorities precisely.
  • Experience in business operations, administration, customer service, project coordination, or related areas.
  • Proven initiative, ownership, and independent problem-solving skills.

A tertiary qualification is advantageous but not mandatory. We place greater emphasis on practical experience, accomplishments, and demonstrated capability than formal education. Experience improving business operations, solving major challenges, and contributing to measurable growth, efficiency, or retention improvements is especially valued. Previous work in the dance or creative sectors is not required.

Working Terms

  • Part-time role, 25 to 30 hours per week.
  • Academic year position from September through the end of June.
  • Flexible hours Tuesday through Thursday with mandatory availability on Monday and Saturday.
  • Compensation ranging from €22 to €23 per hour.

Additional Information

At Zona, we believe that people are our greatest asset: our students, staff, and the collaborative effort we share all matter deeply. We seek candidates whose contributions will have a meaningful impact and who are passionate about supporting growth and making a difference in the community.
