Business Analyst

Overview

Join Nasdaq as a Business Analyst in our Product Management Team, where you will act as a vital link between client requirements and technical delivery. Your role involves transforming complex business needs into well-defined, actionable insights that enhance client satisfaction and uphold product quality on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, record, and oversee comprehensive business and system requirements throughout the full development lifecycle, ensuring clear communication to clients and internal teams.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and operations teams to create and update solution documentation and related materials.
• Perform functional and thematic assessments of current detection solutions to verify model accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Develop functional specifications, user manuals, and support documents to guarantee the solution operates as intended.
• Engage in project planning activities including risk detection and scope management, while proactively seeking improvements to the solutions provided.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of two years' experience in financial markets, capital markets, trading operations, or compliance sectors.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory frameworks in financial services.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and familiarity or hands-on experience with AI tools.

Additional Preferred Experience

• Working knowledge of Jira for task and project tracking.
• Experience with Confluence for documentation and collaborative knowledge sharing.
• Previous Trade Surveillance experience within a compliance function.

Work Environment and Eligibility

This full-time permanent role is based in Sydney, Australia, offering a hybrid work model with a minimum of two days per week onsite, subject to change.
