Role Overview

The Product Specialist (Budtender) delivers exceptional customer service while offering knowledgeable consultations to patients, ensuring customers receive high-quality cannabis products tailored to their needs. This role emphasizes accurate sales processing and strong product understanding.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding service to all customers consistently.
• Evaluate customer medical conditions and symptoms by asking detailed questions, listening carefully, and clarifying as necessary to recommend suitable alternative care options.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Process sales transactions precisely and efficiently.
• Engage in ongoing training related to cannabis education, sales techniques, and new product offerings.
• Interact respectfully and empathetically with customers, colleagues, and visitors.
• Perform designated opening and closing tasks.
• Ensure all operations conform to state and local cannabis laws.
• Manage assigned cash register with accuracy.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of seed-to-sale tracking software, adhering to purchase limitations.
• Communicate frequently with management and supervisory staff regarding department status and customer feedback.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of the dispensary and work area.
• Participate in daily pre-opening meetings.
• Assist with inventory activities when requested.
• Represent the company positively while on duty.
• Complete other assigned responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in dispensary or cannabis industry roles is advantageous.
• Background in high-volume retail environments preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Capability to obtain a Missouri Agent ID.
• Physical ability to stand or sit for extended periods (4+ hours).
• Ability to bend, squat, reach overhead, and lift up to 25 pounds.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly wage between $16.50 and $17.00.
