The company is looking for motivated professionals to help expand its local and regional business.
Role summary
This position focuses on building and maintaining BIM content and production documentation for BIM-enabled projects. The role also supports model quality control, adherence to VDC/IDD standards, and the use of BIM data for 4D sequencing and 5D cost planning.
Key responsibilities
- Develop BIM content and production documentation that supports project delivery through BIM workflows.
- Check BIM models prepared by modelers and consultants to ensure they meet internal VDC/IDD standards and quality expectations.
- Prepare BIM deliverables used for design coordination, documentation, and fabrication.
- Read engineering drawings and revise consultant RFIs so the models accurately reflect design intent.
- Build BIM models with the right parameters and attributes to enable 4D simulation and 5D cost control.
- Spot design-production mismatches and raise them to BIM engineers for action.
- Work closely with teammates and share technical knowledge to improve overall project output.
- Use working knowledge of Civil & Structural, Architectural, and Mechanical & Electrical 3D models to meet project needs.
- Apply BIM documentation practices and generate shop drawings directly from models.
Required competencies
- Hands-on experience with Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office for BIM modelling and document management.
- Basic familiarity with Dynamo and Civil3D to improve and extend BIM models.
- At least 4 years of full BIM experience, ideally with A1 main contractors or consultants and the ability to work independently.
- Higher Nitec in Architectural Technology or Structural Engineering, or a Diploma/Degree in Civil, Architectural, Mechanical Engineering, or BIM.
- Strong spoken and written English skills for clear project and design communication.
Preferred experience
- Exposure to infrastructure projects and their BIM-specific requirements is an advantage.
- Prior experience building 4D and 5D BIM models for simulation and cost management is preferred.
