About BAM and Role Overview
BAM UK & Ireland is dedicated to building a sustainable future by delivering impactful projects ranging from vital infrastructure to social housing and community spaces. We integrate social value deeply into every project we undertake. Currently, we are seeking a BIM Coordinator (also known as Digital Project Solutions) located in Waterford. This role involves managing incidental geometry production, validating information, coordinating models, and generating reports to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the project information model, facilitating sharing with the project team and client approval, consistent with project and contract exchange guidelines and security protocols.
- Ensure compliance of project and contract procedures with BAM’s ISO 19650 information management standards.
- Develop and implement model coordination and mobilisation plans, conducting regular reviews to maintain quality.
- Oversee correct use of the Common Data Environment (CDE) in line with BAM’s information policies, client requirements, and ISO19650 standards where applicable.
- Maintain high-quality graphical and non-graphical building information model data at the required detail level, including reporting on compliance.
- Support creation and quality assurance of project information models, reporting discrepancies from task teams.
- Implement digital processes throughout all project and asset lifecycle stages as required.
- Establish workflows compliant with client demands, BAM’s information policies, and ISO 19650 standards, ensuring they are well planned, documented, and communicated.
- Contribute to developing Master Information Delivery Plans (MIDP) and Task Information Delivery Plans (TIDP).
- Collaborate with IT and DPS teams to ensure digital systems and workflows are effective and appropriate for project lifecycle stages.
- Identify and resolve users’ technical issues related to applications or tools promptly to minimize productivity loss.
Candidate Profile
- Strong team collaborator with effective time management and communication skills.
- Genuine interest in digital construction and digital facilities management with a foundational understanding of ISO19650 standards.
- Alignment with BAM’s core values.
- Higher education in construction or related disciplines, or comparable professional experience.
- Between 1 and 2 years of experience in digital construction or digital facilities management, with familiarity of industry practices and tendering processes.
