About the Role
Joining Walmart Canada as a Bakery Associate offers a valuable opportunity to enhance your retail and customer service skills. In this role, you will provide outstanding service while embodying Walmart's core beliefs and values. Your duties include maintaining and organizing the bakery section, managing stock, and supporting sales activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards for the quality and appearance of bakery items such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
- Ensure the bakery department is well-stocked and prepared for daily operations.
- Correctly label and price all bakery products.
- Follow strict cold chain procedures including thermometer calibration, temperature monitoring, proper food handling, product rotation, and adherence to sell-by and expiration dates.
- Implement food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness through sanitation and cleaning routines.
- Manage ordering, clearance, pricing adjustments, and labeling accurately.
- Prepare bakery goods by closely following thawing and baking instructions to ensure consistent quality and presentation.
- Secure all product displays safely and correctly.
Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this position is $16.35. This rate is also confirmed in French as Le taux horaire minimum pour ce poste débute à 16.35.
Minimum Qualifications
- Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.
