Specifically, the Seller Hub Overview team is responsible for creating the landing experience that provides daily business health checks and prioritizes seller tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable distributed systems and large-scale database-backed solutions.
• Analyze business and technology requirements to develop robust, efficient software.
• Engage in collaborative design discussions, code reviews, and team meetings.
• Partner with engineers, architects, product managers, and operations to create functional, performant, and reliable solutions aligned with product goals and timelines.
• Develop both technical and domain knowledge to address complex product challenges.
• Architect and implement multi-tier distributed software systems capable of handling over 1 billion requests daily, enhancing user experience.
• Estimate engineering efforts, plan development cycles, and coordinate system rollouts.
• Contribute to support, release, and on-call duties for a 24/7 operational site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 3+ years experience or Master's degree with 2+ years experience building large distributed systems.
• Strong foundation in computer science principles, data structures, and algorithms.
• Proven expertise in object-oriented design and application development using Java/J2EE, adhering to SOLID principles, design patterns, Spring/Spring Boot, and GraphQL.
• Experience with both NoSQL and relational databases at scale.
• Commitment to code quality and maintainability through refactoring, adopting architectural improvements, and enhancing build/test systems.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and influence peers at all levels.
• Experience developing backend services with Java and Kotlin, and practical knowledge of GraphQL APIs.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, or Cline.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected base salary range for this position is C$118,000 to C$157,500 annually, subject to individual factors like skills and location. Total compensation may also include bonuses and restricted stock units where applicable.
