Automation Test Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an Automation Test Engineer with expertise in test automation, API testing, and continuous integration practices. The ideal candidate will take ownership of designing automated test cases and maintaining regression test suites to ensure high-quality software releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute automated test scripts primarily using Selenium or Playwright with Java.
• Conduct API testing utilizing REST Assured and Postman frameworks, including schema validation and authentication mechanisms such as OAuth and JWT.
• Implement BDD style automation with frameworks like Cucumber to bridge user stories to test scenarios.
• Maintain test automation best practices and upkeep regression suites for continuous quality assurance.
• Collaborate in CI/CD pipeline environments using Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD to integrate automated checks.
• Use SQL skills for backend data validation and verification related to testing workflows.
• Design end-to-end functional and cross-browser tests ensuring comprehensive coverage and traceability with tools like JIRA.
• Engage in API chaining and data-driven automation techniques to enhance test effectiveness.
• Understand contract testing basics and assist in ensuring API reliability and compliance.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proficient in Selenium or Playwright automation frameworks using Java.
• Strong experience with REST Assured for API testing including authentication testing.
• Hands-on experience using BDD frameworks such as Cucumber for behavior-driven development.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins or GitLab for continuous testing.
• Capability in writing and executing SQL queries for backend validation.
• Knowledge of regression testing strategies and automation best practices.
• Experience working with JIRA for managing test cases and tracking defects.

Eligibility

Candidates must have completed graduation in any field.
