Role Overview
We are seeking an Auto Body Estimator to join our reconditioning operations. This vital function involves accurately estimating repair costs for damaged vehicles, scheduling necessary repairs, and ensuring smooth communication between repair facilities and internal departments to keep our vehicle reconditioning on schedule and meet delivery commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine vehicle damage photos and compile precise repair estimates, focusing on accuracy, volume, and timely completion.
- Collaborate with repair shops to obtain detailed quotes, pricing information, and service descriptions.
- Arrange repair appointments for vehicles requiring service at external facilities.
- Handle invoicing processes related to repair work.
- Provide regular updates to management regarding repair statuses and scheduling via phone and email.
- Manage a high workload of estimating and coordinating repair appointments within a fast-paced context.
- Maintain thorough records of all repair estimates, scheduled appointments, and correspondence.
- Follow up with repair shops and team members to ensure repair deadlines are consistently met.
- Identify and address any inconsistencies or gaps in communication among stakeholders.
- Utilize internal communication and workflow tools such as email, Google Drive, and Slack to track ongoing tasks efficiently.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
- Demonstrate strong computer literacy and proficiency with workflow management tools.
- Exhibit excellent customer service skills and professional communication abilities.
- Hold a valid Canadian driver's license, at least G2 level or higher.
- Be legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Have reliable transportation to commute to the Etobicoke location.
- Commit to a full-time work schedule of 40 hours per week, with possible overtime as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in administrative, customer service, or automotive support roles.
- Knowledge of automotive repair terminology and workshop operations.
- Familiarity with scheduling, workflow, or task management software.
