Job description

About the Role

We are collaborating with a prominent digital transformation consultancy to onboard an Associate Product Manager focused on Asset Management. This hybrid position based in Boston, MA, involves a contract duration of 3 to 6 months with a possibility of extension. The role sits at the crossroads of business strategy, cutting-edge technology, and user experience development, aiming to craft innovative platform solutions specifically catering to private equity clients.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete product lifecycle for private equity platform projects, covering all phases from initial discovery to final delivery.
  • Work alongside project stakeholders—investment teams, operations, and technology groups—to establish and communicate product vision, strategic direction, and detailed roadmaps.
  • Convert complex business needs into clear and actionable product specifications, user stories, and maintain a prioritized product backlog.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and data experts to develop scalable, user-focused product solutions.
  • Lead and facilitate agile processes such as sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives to ensure deadlines and goals are met.
  • Monitor platform analytics and gather user feedback to support iterative product enhancements.
  • Serve as the main point of contact bridging business units and technical teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment.

Required Qualifications

  • At least two years of experience in Product Management, preferably within financial services or private equity sectors.
  • Hands-on experience with data-intensive platforms, including dashboards and enterprise-level software.
  • Demonstrated history of working effectively in digital transformation or consultancy roles.
  • Proficient in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong communication capabilities along with effective stakeholder management experience.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Familiarity with portfolio management or investment platform systems.
  • Knowledge of data tools such as SQL, business intelligence software, and dashboard technologies.
  • Experience collaborating with consulting firms or serving enterprise clientele.
  • Exposure to cloud technologies and contemporary data architecture paradigms.
