Associate Designer

Position Summary

The brand is currently looking for an imaginative and driven Associate Designer to assist in the creation and development of seasonal collections. This role involves collaborating directly with the Head Designer to realize the brand's vision, injecting fresh ideas and keeping up-to-date with modern fashion trends.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Designer in crafting seasonal collections aligned with the brand's identity.
• Conduct research on emerging trends including colors, fabrics, silhouettes, and market opportunities in the contemporary fashion segment.
• Produce sketches, technical flats, color schemes, and presentation documents.
• Help develop seasonal themes ensuring cohesive design across product categories.
• Work alongside Product Development and Merchandising teams throughout design and production stages.
• Evaluate samples and prototypes, offering feedback to uphold design intent and quality standards.
• Organize design documentation, line sheets, and developmental materials timely.
• Attend fittings and contribute to iterative design improvements.
• Keep abreast of competitor brands and market trends in contemporary fashion.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a closely related discipline.
• Between 2 to 5 years of experience within apparel design, ideally in the contemporary sector.
• In-depth knowledge of contemporary fashion trends, customer behavior, and competitive market conditions.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, alongside Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong sketching capabilities, presentation skills, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of attention to detail and competency in executing design directives.

Compensation

The position offers an annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $75,000.
