Job description
Overview
The Assistant Vice President in Internal Audit is tasked with executing audit assurance activities primarily focused on Technology and Cybersecurity domains, while also contributing to comprehensive audits across Citibank UAE's operational sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage actively in audits across Citibank UAE by drafting audit reports, addressing issues with business units, and promoting actionable, sustainable resolutions.
- Keep abreast of evolving regulatory frameworks to ensure audit practices and coverage are compliant and comprehensive.
- Perform validations of audit and regulatory issues, conduct risk assessments, and oversee business monitoring efforts.
- Comply with Internal Audit methodologies, policies, and regulatory mandates delivering timely and effective audit assurances within allocated schedules and budgets.
- Utilize expert judgment to assess risks and formulate audit conclusions, escalating critical risks when necessary.
- Drive continuous enhancements in audit processes through leveraging data analytics and artificial intelligence tools to augment audit effectiveness and scope.
- Build and sustain strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders to deepen understanding of business processes and controls.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated 5 to 8 years of related professional experience in audit or a similar function.
- Profound knowledge of Technology and Cybersecurity fields, along with their pertinent regulatory environments.
- Preferred certifications include CPA, ACA, CFA, CIA, CISA, ACAMS, or equivalents.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities, coupled with negotiation capabilities.
- Proven skills in project management, influence, and relationship cultivation.
- Capacity to maintain impartiality and objectivity within diverse working environments.
Education
Possession of a Bachelor's or University degree, or commensurate experience, is required.
