Role Overview
The Television Scripted Assistant supports an Agent within CAA's Television Scripted Department, which represents directors, producers, and writers. This role involves collaborating closely with multiple agency departments such as Accounting and Business Affairs. The ideal individual is passionate about scripted TV and artist representation, demonstrating administrative efficiency and strong communication skills with agents, executives, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle administrative tasks including managing high-volume phone lines, coordinating calendars, organizing travel, arranging report bookings, preparing expense documentation, and performing other office-related duties.
- Act as the primary contact point for clients, agents, and executives, ensuring professional and timely communications.
- Conduct thorough script coverage to support client pitch presentations.
- Monitor and track ongoing and potential clients within the department.
- Engage proactively with scripts and related materials to support team objectives.
- Assist with various special projects including research and data compilation as required.
Qualifications
- At least 10 months of assistant experience within an agency, studio, or talent management environment is preferred.
- Capability to work effectively under pressure, meet strict deadlines, juggle multiple assignments, and prioritize tasks without losing focus.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational aptitude, and problem-solving abilities are essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills combined with a commitment to confidentiality.
- Confident communication skills to interact with personnel at all organizational levels.
- Quick adaptability to new procedures and proficiency with existing systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Education
A Bachelor of Arts or Science degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
Location and Compensation
This on-site position is based in Los Angeles, California, USA. The hourly base pay ranges between 20 and 22 dollars. The role is eligible for benefits and a discretionary bonus. Wage determinations consider relevant experience, role tenure, sector, and location variables.
