Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site position in Zone 39, Doha, Qatar. The Assistant Sales Manager will support the Sales Manager in driving revenue performance by helping shape and implement sales plans, managing important client accounts, and uncovering new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
The role involves active sales outreach, client engagement, and coordination across departments to ensure smooth service delivery that matches client expectations. It also includes maintaining sales documentation, tracking opportunities, and contributing to performance reporting and market awareness.
- Support revenue growth by helping execute sales strategies and business plans.
- Handle key accounts and build strong relationships with clients and prospects.
- Identify and pursue fresh business leads and opportunities.
- Make sales calls and carry out property/site visits and inspections.
- Prepare proposals, agreements, and related sales documentation.
- Keep sales records accurate and up to date.
- Follow up regularly with both prospects and existing customers.
- Work closely with operations, marketing, and reservations teams to align service delivery.
- Monitor market activity and competitive trends relevant to the hotel business.
- Represent the company at sales events, networking functions, and similar activities.
- Share reports, insights, and analysis with leadership on a regular basis.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven ability in sales and account handling, including generating leads, building client relationships, and securing business.
- Background in hospitality or a similar service-led sector, with knowledge of hotel operations, revenue principles, and guest service standards.
- Clear communication and confident presentation skills, along with strong negotiation ability and a professional brand image.
- Working knowledge of CRM platforms, common office software, and basic analysis used for sales reporting and forecasting.
- Strong organization and time management to manage several priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain proper records.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with different teams in an on-site working environment.
- Academic qualification such as a degree or diploma in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related discipline, or comparable professional experience.
- Willingness to work as needed, including occasional evenings, weekends, and special events.
