Position Overview
The Assistant Project Manager works in close collaboration with the Project Manager to oversee multiple facets of the construction process. Key duties include managing project documentation, preparing monthly billings, coordinating stakeholder meetings, and serving as the primary contact between Monteith Construction and clients, design teams, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and input project documents such as plans, specifications, Requests for Information (RFIs), and revisions.
- Support the superintendent and Project Manager by tracking project inspections.
- Prepare and submit monthly pay applications to maintain positive cash flow.
- Manage and report on monthly cost forecasts for 4 to 6 spotlight projects.
- Assist with change order administration alongside the Project Manager.
- Coordinate agendas and correspondence for weekly or monthly Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings.
- Handle applications for local and state permits.
- Lead the project closeout procedures.
Experience & Skills Required
- 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial construction industry.
- Familiarity with construction management software such as Viewpoint/Dexter Chaney and Procore is preferred.
- Excellent communication abilities.

Compensation
The salary range for this role is between $75,000 and $85,000 per year within the Monteith Triad region.
