Assistant Manager, Commercial

Job Overview and Duties

As an Assistant Manager in the Commercial department, you will handle the preparation of thorough and competitive cost estimations for assigned tenders, including cash flow projections when necessary. You will be responsible for administrating, preparing, producing, and executing tenders in a systematic manner that complies with commercial processes and client expectations.

You will coordinate with colleagues across various company functions or groups to collect necessary inputs for tender preparation. Supporting Commercial Managers, you will assist in the commercial risk management process by evaluating key risks related to tenders and providing well-analyzed recommendations.

Under the guidance of Commercial Managers, you might also manage ongoing contracts by serving as the primary contact with charterers, ensuring timely invoicing, and promptly resolving any commercial or contractual concerns. Additionally, you will support contract negotiations, prepare postmortem reports on completed contracts, and undertake other duties assigned by commercial leadership.

• A background in financial analysis techniques such as ROI, NPV, and IRR is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Educational Requirements

Candidates should hold at least a Bachelor's Degree in fields such as Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business Management, Marketing, or related disciplines.
