Overview
We seek a seasoned professional to ensure that all financial entries are accurately and promptly recorded into the general ledger system, adhering to applicable accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting tasks related to Finance, including general ledger maintenance and reconciliation to ensure accurate and complete financial data in line with current accounting standards.
- Investigate and resolve unreconciled transactions within designated service level agreements, actively following up on long outstanding items.
- Prepare various schedules on daily, weekly, and monthly intervals that cannot be generated from existing application systems.
- Analyze and implement changes to accounting procedures stemming from updates in products, services, processes, systems, or accounting policies. This includes setting up accounting schema, operationalizing workflows, providing business requirements, and conducting system testing to guarantee precise accounting records.
- Engage in automation projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and accuracy through smart technology applications in reconciliation, accounting calculation, tax accounting, and other finance operations.
- Contribute to significant initiatives across the unit, Group Finance department, and the entire bank.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possess an accounting qualification or at least 4 years of relevant accounting operations experience in a commercial banking environment or audit background.
- Strong accounting expertise combined with a vigilant control-oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with reconciliation processes involving overseas Nostro agents and correspondents, banking products, services, and relevant technological tools for accounting operations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet stringent deadlines to fulfill departmental and broader organizational goals.
