Assistant Accountant

Role Overview

As a vital contributor within the Mountain Goat Finance Team, you will support key finance and logistics functions that ensure the seamless operation of the company. Reporting to the Head of Finance and collaborating closely with the Finance Manager, this role offers exposure to Sales, Marketing, and Operations departments, broadening your insight into the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle customer order processing and maintain comprehensive and accurate records.
• Compile sales reports and conduct month-end accounting tasks including balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of journal entries.
• Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functions to guarantee punctual and precise processing.
• Conduct reporting on Excise Tax and ensure compliance with related requirements.
• Support inventory management activities and provide inventory reporting assistance.
• Coordinate interactions with third-party suppliers and Asahi Beverages' parent company teams.
• Contribute insights and assistance to optimize processes within Finance and Logistics.
• Collaborate effectively with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to back cross-functional initiatives.
• Participate in continuous process improvement efforts and support professional development initiatives within Mountain Goat and Asahi Beverages.

Candidate Profile

• Proactive team player comfortable in a fast-moving and complex environment with a willingness to learn and grow.
• Prior experience in positions such as Assistant Accountant, Assistant Financial Analyst, or equivalent roles.
• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or an allied subject.
• A detail-oriented mindset combined with a positive, adaptable, and proactive attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal capabilities to collaborate well with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Adept at prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities under pressure.
• Experience or knowledge of MYOB software is an advantage but not mandatory.
