About Caritasverband für die Erzdiözese Freiburg
The Caritasverband for the Archdiocese of Freiburg serves as the welfare association of the Catholic Church in the region, acting as the umbrella and peak body for independent welfare organizations in Baden-Württemberg. It represents local Caritas associations, professional groups, and facilities before political, ecclesiastical, and administrative authorities, while supporting their on-site activities. The organization actively participates in social and political discussions, advocating firmly for humanity in various processes.
Position Overview
We are seeking a permanent Assistant (90% position) for our headquarters in Freiburg-Lehen, to begin by September 1st, 2026 or earlier. This role operates within the departments of Youth Social Work, School & Education, Early Childhood Education, and Day Care Centers for Children (Regional Team South).
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general administrative and secretarial duties supporting specialist advisors and department heads in their daily workflows.
- Organize events, professional symposiums, and conferences, liaising with internal and external partners while maintaining contact and customer data records.
- Assist management of the state working group for Catholic Youth Social Work in Baden-Württemberg.
- Contribute to the administration and execution of projects under the state and federal youth plans.
Qualifications and Skills
- Completed training as an office clerk, administrative assistant, or an equivalent qualification.
- Strong organizational capabilities combined with an independent and structured work approach.
- Experience in office administration, routine workflow management, and ideally event and conference coordination.
- Proficiency with digital tools and common Microsoft Office software.
- Service-oriented, dependable, and team-focused work style.
- Excellent communication skills and a high level of self-organization.
