Role Overview
We are in search of a skilled Asset Protection Manager to spearhead our asset protection, loss prevention, physical security, and risk management efforts across the company. This individual will lead security strategy development, investigations oversight, compliance program management, and implement controls to minimize risks, prevent losses, and maintain a secure operating environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and enforce asset protection policies, procedures, and governance aligned with company goals.
- Manage loss prevention, physical security, and risk reduction initiatives throughout business functions.
- Evaluate and mitigate risks posed by theft, fraud, vandalism, workplace violence, property damage, and operational losses.
- Partner with departments including Operations, Facilities, HR, Finance, Legal, IT, Compliance, Procurement, and senior leadership to enhance protection standards.
- Perform security risk assessments, site inspections, investigations, audits, and incident analyses while recommending corrective measures.
- Oversee systems such as access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, alarm monitoring, and visitor management.
- Develop and update emergency response, crisis management, business continuity, and incident response plans.
- Track key metrics like shrinkage, security incidents, effectiveness of loss prevention, investigation results, compliance, and operational risks.
- Supervise external security vendors, contract staff, and equipment providers to ensure quality services.
- Ensure organizational compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal security and safety standards.
- Prepare detailed reports, risk assessments, incident summaries, audit outcomes, and presentations for leadership review.
- Promote continuous improvements through advancements in security technology, analytics, workflow enhancements, and established best practices.
- Lead, coach, and develop teams focused on asset protection and loss prevention while fostering a culture emphasizing safety, accountability, integrity, and ongoing improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business Administration, Risk Management, Law Enforcement, or a related discipline.
- Professional designations such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or similar are a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years in asset protection, loss prevention, corporate security, risk management, or law enforcement roles.
- Preferably at least 2 years managing security operations, investigations, or asset protection teams.
- Comprehensive knowledge of physical security, fraud and loss prevention, investigations, emergency protocols, risk mitigation, and compliance requirements.
- Proficient with access control systems, CCTV platforms, security software, incident reporting tools, Microsoft Office, Power BI, and analytics software.
- Experience or knowledge in business continuity planning, crisis management, workplace health and safety, and security technologies is advantageous.
- Strong leadership abilities coupled with analytical, communication, investigative, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
- Capacity to handle multiple priorities maintaining a balance among security, operational effectiveness, regulatory requirements, and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work autonomously and productively in remote and hybrid arrangements.
