Position Overview
This role involves performing detailed weapons maintenance on RSAF Typhoon aircraft to maintain airworthiness and technical standards in line with approved guidelines and quality systems. The position is based in Taif, Saudi Arabia and requires onsite presence for a 12 to 18-month contract with a start date as soon as possible.
Main Duties
- Perform scheduled maintenance including disassembly, cleaning, inspection, minor repairs, and supervising staff on RSAF Typhoon aircraft weapons systems.
- Ensure strict adherence to technical quality and airworthiness standards as outlined in RSAF/DA approved technical publications, M&CA mandates, and SMU quality management systems.
- Raise independent inspections, and lead vital or mandatory inspections according to second signature responsibilities.
- Carry out daily inspections to keep maintenance schedules on track.
- Support workplace environment and housekeeping inspections, ensuring cleanliness and foreign object debris control.
- Complete all SMU and aircraft maintenance forms and documentation accurately.
- Maintain currency of all authorisations relevant to assigned tasks.
- Identify and report training needs for self and team members to Team Leader.
- Comply fully with SMU quality system and RSAF technical orders and publications.
- Support Quality Assurance investigations into customer enquiries and complaints.
- Complete all mandated and refresher training to keep credentials current.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by line management.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Successful completion of a recognized aircraft engineering trade apprenticeship.
- NVQ/C&G Level 3 or equivalent technical qualification, or Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance License (current or lapsed), or an equivalent acceptable technical license.
- Minimum seven years of practical maintenance experience post-qualification in an operational flying aircraft environment with relevant documented training, or three years working on the same aircraft type.
- Completed relevant type training or specific Typhoon Q course.
- Completed equipment-specific training pertinent to Typhoon aircraft.
- Experience in a Typhoon aircraft maintenance organisation.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and briefing abilities.
- Proficiency in English language.
Additional Information
- Contract duration: 12 to 18 months.
- Work schedule: 48 hours per week, Sunday through Thursday.
- Overtime available at standard daily rate.
- Daily compensation for Limited company: £315 including shared accommodation and flights to/from the UK related to job/visa arrangements.
- Location: Taif, Saudi Arabia.
- Start date: Immediate.
