Program Overview
The Pinterest Apprenticeship Program is designed for professionals from non-technical backgrounds and for people who may face barriers to entering the tech industry. What You Will Do
- Collaborate with Pinterest Product Managers and partners across Design, Research, and Engineering on a high-impact initiative.
- Work with cross-functional teams to help shape product ideas into live solutions, including supporting product goals and requirements, running experiments, and managing projects from start to finish.
- Learn from an assigned mentor who will guide you on the expectations and practices of Product Management at Pinterest.
- Use AI tools to improve productivity and make collaboration across teams more effective.
- Continue building skills through ongoing learning and development opportunities.
Candidate Profile
Applicants are expected to come from non-tech backgrounds, which may include product management bootcamp graduates, self-taught candidates, or people without a related degree or prior Product Management experience.
The role is intended for proactive, self-driven professionals who want to grow a career in tech and understand what it takes to succeed as a Product Manager at Pinterest.
Applicants should be able to learn quickly, especially when adopting emerging AI tools, and should know how to apply them thoughtfully across the product development process with an eye toward better decisions and efficiency.
At least 1 year of experience collaborating and communicating clearly in a professional workplace is preferred.
Candidates should be strong in analytical problem-solving and decision-making, with experience using metrics and data to guide choices.
Work Arrangement and Location Notes
Apprentices are expected to work full-time during business hours. Students currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program are not eligible.
The position is based in the United States and requires legal authorization to work full-time in the U.S.
The role is not eligible for relocation assistance. Pinterest notes that day-to-day in-office expectations may vary by team or role depending on organizational needs.
Compensation and Policy Information
The base salary range for this position is $9,350 to $11,000 per month. Final pay may vary based on location, relevant experience, and specific skills or expertise.
