Job Overview
The role involves managing and maintaining a range of weapons and explosives on aircraft to ensure their operational readiness. This includes handling aircraft bombs, guided weapons, missiles, ammunition and personal weapons.
Key Responsibilities
- Arm aircraft with bombs, guided weapons, and missiles.
- Oversee servicing, maintenance and repairs of ejection seats, aircraft gun systems, and missile launchers.
- Maintain, care for, and issue weapons used at your station.
- Assemble and install smart weapons and decoy flares onto aircraft.
Requirements
- Age between 16 and 47 years (must attest before 48th birthday).
- GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent Scottish National 5 grade C in English language, Mathematics, and an approved Science or Technology subject.
- Meet specific Nationality and Residency criteria as outlined by recruitment guidelines.
- Commit to a minimum of three years service after specialist training completion.
- Successfully pass the Defence Aptitude Assessment and a fitness test.
