  • Direct multidisciplinary research projects covering domains such as crop science, agronomy, soil health, irrigation, plant nutrition, pest control, biotechnology, climate adaptability, precision farming, and sustainable agriculture.
  • Design, implement, and oversee field and controlled environment experiments, ranging from greenhouse setups to irrigation trials and technology demonstrations.
  • Work collaboratively with experts including agronomists, crop and soil scientists, plant biologists, engineers, biotechnologists, environmental scientists, data specialists, GIS professionals, farmers, technology providers, academic institutions, research bodies, and organizational leaders.
  • Develop robust research methodologies including sampling techniques, protocols, data collection mechanisms, quality control, and statistical analysis frameworks.
  • Investigate areas such as crop yield, plant health, soil fertility, water use efficiency, climate resilience, pest and disease resistance, nutrition, sustainable inputs, and agricultural resource optimization.
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive datasets and repositories capturing field trial results, soil assessments, environmental monitoring, and knowledge bases.
  • Analyze data employing statistical models, geospatial and remote sensing technologies, time-series analysis, predictive analytics, and performance indicators.
  • Define performance metrics including yield improvement, resource optimization, trial milestones, research output, technology uptake, impact assessment, and sustainability outcomes.
  • Stay abreast of developments in genetics, biotechnology, precision agriculture, controlled-environment farming, irrigation, robotics, remote sensing, and sustainable practices.
  • Lead research addressing issues like climate resilience, drought tolerance, heat stress, water shortages, soil degradation, salinity, biodiversity, and sustainable agricultural production.
  • Assess new agricultural products and technologies including seeds, fertilizers, biostimulants, irrigation systems, pest management solutions, machinery, sensors, software, and precision farming tools.
  • Forge partnerships with universities, research institutions, government agencies, farming organizations, tech companies, labs, agribusinesses, and consultants.
  • Prepare research documentation such as proposals, grant applications, scientific and technical reports, presentations, field trial summaries, assessments, and leadership briefings.
  • Oversee management of research budgets, sites, labs, greenhouses, equipment, consultants, testing services, contractors, scientific software, and strategic partnerships.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE regulations concerning agriculture, environmental protection, biosafety, chemical handling, occupational health, research ethics, and other legal standards.
  • Champion digital transformation via AI, machine learning, satellite imagery, remote sensing, precision agriculture, automated crop monitoring, digital twins, predictive modeling, and advanced farm analytics.
  • Utilize advanced software tools including ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth Engine, R, Python, MATLAB, Microsoft 365, Power BI, Tableau, farm management platforms, remote sensing solutions, agricultural databases, laboratory information systems, and scientific modeling applications.
  • Create executive dashboards, crop performance assessments, trial analyses, efficiency reports, technology evaluations, research roadmaps, risk evaluations, and strategic recommendations for senior executives.
  • Lead, mentor, and enhance the capabilities of agricultural researchers, agronomists, field and lab scientists, data analysts, research assistants, promoting scientific integrity, innovation, collaboration, sustainability, and continual advancement.
