Job description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Administrator and Planning Specialist based in Kitwe, Copperbelt Province, Zambia to enhance our operational efficiency through meticulous planning and administrative support.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee and streamline planning and administrative operations to maximize efficiency.
- Create and update detailed reports and documentation to ensure data integrity.
- Organize stock requisitions and assist with production scheduling and planning.
- Track inventory levels, work-in-progress status, labor hours, and production outputs to monitor performance.
- Compile weekly and monthly performance metrics and reports.
- Facilitate planning and production meetings, and ensure timely follow-up on all action items.
- Maintain precise planning records and master data within the ERP system.
- Ensure that quality-related documentation is correctly stored and archived.
- Evaluate and monitor the performance of suppliers and subcontractors.
- Contribute to process enhancement initiatives and the development of ERP system functionalities.
- Adhere to and enforce company policies, procedures, quality standards, as well as health and safety regulations.
- Provide assistance for remanufacturing certification and evaluation activities.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Planning, Operations, or a similar discipline.
- Prior experience in planning, administrative roles, production, logistics, or within a manufacturing context.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, alongside the capability to keep system data accurate and up-to-date.
- Proficient computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel and various reporting software.
- Experience in preparing and analysing operational reports and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Comprehensive knowledge of inventory and production planning principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong documentation maintenance skills.
- Experience in mining, engineering, manufacturing, or remanufacturing sectors is advantageous.
