Accounts Payable Accountant

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Accountant to manage the company's accounts payable operations by ensuring timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices, payments, expense claims, and vendor reconciliations. The position is crucial for maintaining compliance with UAE financial laws, company policies, and healthcare sector standards while fostering strong partnerships with vendors and internal teams.

Key Duties

• Handle and validate supplier invoices, guaranteeing punctual and precise payments as per company guidelines and authorized payment schedules.
• Keep vendor records updated, reconcile supplier accounts, address payment issues, and coordinate with vendors and internal departments.
• Adhere to financial controls, authorization procedures, UAE VAT laws, and healthcare-related financial regulations.
• Prepare reconciliations for accounts payable, assist in monthly and annual financial closings, and contribute to audit activities.
• Produce accounts payable reports, oversee outstanding payments and cash flow needs, and aid in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Maintain detailed financial documents, protect sensitive information, and participate in process enhancements and other finance tasks assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or an associated discipline.
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CMA, CPA, or comparable certifications are favorable.

Experience

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant accounts payable experience.
• Preferably experienced within healthcare sectors including hospitals, medical centers, or pharmaceutical companies.
• Proficiency with ERP software, ideally Oracle Fusion.
• Understanding of UAE VAT legislation and financial reporting standards.
