Accountant

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to manage daily bookkeeping tasks with an emphasis on fixed assets, lease accounting, and intangible assets, ensuring all financial entries conform to IFRS standards and company policies.

Key Duties

• Record financial transactions through journal entries accurately supported by documentation and compliant with accounting principles.
• Perform reconciliation of bank statements and account balances at the end of each month.
• Classify and review expenses and revenues correctly while maintaining orderly records of transactions.
• Administer lease contracts in D365 Asset Leasing by calculating present values and properly recording Right-of-Use (ROU) assets and lease liabilities as per IFRS 16.
• Manage lease payments and handle monthly depreciation and finance cost processes.
• Monitor lease contract expirations, manage renewal accruals, and coordinate lease information with the Commercial Expansion team.
• Oversee the lifecycle of fixed assets and intangible assets using D365 Fixed Assets, including capitalization, monitoring construction work in progress (CWIP), transfers, and ensuring proper depreciation/amortization and impairment evaluations under IAS 16 and IAS 38.
• Prepare monthly asset journal postings, run depreciation/amortization cycles, and maintain asset roll-forward schedules.
• Assist in monthly and annual financial closings and contribute to the preparation of financial statements.
• Follow up on facility-related payments and provide data required for audits.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certifications like SOCPA or CMA are an advantage.
• Two to four years of general accounting experience, preferably with exposure to fixed asset and lease accounting.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, specifically Fixed Assets and/or Asset Leasing modules, is mandatory.
• Familiarity with IFRS 16, IAS 16, and IAS 38 accounting standards.
