About the Role
Gumball is hiring a full-time Media Sales Account Manager to support its revenue organization. The company focuses on host-read ads delivered through leading podcast and YouTube creators, helping brands and agencies run creator-led campaigns that benefit from audience trust.
In this position, you will act as a strategic partner to existing agency and brand accounts. You will manage a portfolio of clients, shape media recommendations, and oversee campaign delivery from planning through final reporting. The role requires close coordination with Sales, Creator Partnerships, Ad Operations, and Content to provide strong client support and uncover opportunities for account growth.
This opportunity is best suited for someone who enjoys a fast-moving media environment and is motivated by helping advertisers achieve results through creator-based advertising.
Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day communication with a set of media agencies and brand partners and be their main contact.
- Build media strategies and proposals tailored to client goals, budgets, and audience profiles.
- Spot ways to expand current accounts through renewals, upselling, custom sponsorships, and creator suggestions.
- Prepare media plans, presentation materials, and campaign summaries in response to briefs and RFPs.
- Work with Sales, Creator Partnerships, Ad Operations, and Content teams to support smooth setup, delivery, optimization, and reporting.
- Use planning resources and campaign performance data, including the Gumball platform, Podscribe, and hosting tools, to guide recommendations.
- Track pacing, results, and client satisfaction, and proactively share updates and next steps.
- Keep up with developments in podcasting, YouTube, digital media, and advertising to find new client opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of account activity, pipeline progress, and client communication in CRM systems.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in media sales, account management, media planning, or client services, ideally in digital media, podcasting, or creator advertising.
- Background in handling relationships with media agencies and/or brand advertisers.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation abilities, with the confidence to communicate across internal teams and external clients.
- Solid understanding of digital media planning, campaign execution, and ad measurement.
- Comfort using Google Workspace, especially Sheets and Slides.
- Experience with CRM or media measurement tools such as HubSpot, Podscribe, or comparable systems is advantageous.
- Very organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage several client priorities at once.
- Analytical approach with the ability to turn campaign data into practical recommendations.
- Genuine interest in podcasting, creator media, technology, and the changing digital advertising space.
- Self-driven, team-oriented, and comfortable in a startup environment with a fast pace.
- Good understanding of podcast and YouTube creator networks, social platforms, and digital publishing.
