About the internship
About the Internship
This internship focuses on backend development for the Reneo platform. The selected interns will work on creating and maintaining backend systems supporting customers, sellers, creators, and administrators. Key responsibilities include designing RESTful APIs, managing database architecture, and handling authentication and authorization services.
Interns will develop backend features related to seller stores, product catalogs, inventory management, shopping carts, orders, payments, transactions, notifications, messaging, and real-time functionalities. The role also includes optimizing database performance, enforcing security protocols, implementing logging and error handling, and monitoring system health. Collaboration with frontend, mobile, Agora/WebRTC, and DevOps teams is essential for thorough testing, debugging, and deployment.
Candidate Requirements and Eligibility
Applicants must be able to work remotely, adhering to Indian Standard Time working hours from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. Candidates should be ready to start between August 9, 2026, and September 13, 2026, and commit to a three-month internship. Preference is given to those with skills and interests aligned with backend development, especially women aiming to begin or resume their career. Technical Qualifications
- Solid expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and REST API development.
- Hands-on experience with Supabase services including Authentication, PostgreSQL, Storage, Realtime capabilities, and Row Level Security (RLS) is highly valued.
- Prior work on marketplace, ecommerce, social networking, or real-time application backend development is advantageous.
- Familiarity with payment API integration, WebSocket communication, Agora APIs, AWS infrastructure, or Vercel deployment is a plus.
- Applicants must provide a GitHub portfolio or a functional backend/API project showcasing technical proficiency.
- Strong awareness of API and database security best practices is preferred.
- Immediate full-time availability is essential during intensive phases.
Stipend and Perks
The internship offers a monthly remuneration ranging from $325 to $500, supplemented by an incentive pay of $75 to $150 per month. Participants will receive a certificate upon completion and a letter of recommendation based on performance.
