About the Opportunity

The role of Zonal Manager is based in Bangalore and reports to the Regional Manager. You will be a part of the Independent Hotels team responsible for managing the supply of over 70,000 independent hotels across India within the Domestic Hotel supply function.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for boosting portfolio productivity by meeting or surpassing supply targets, recognizing market potential, and steering the team towards their defined key results. Additionally, you will formulate strategic insights to enhance profitability, identify opportunities to improve processes, and work closely with business teams to ensure compliance and prioritize process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with C-level executives from independent hotels to nurture relationships and monitor performance in your assigned territories.
  • Collaborate with portfolio partners to share expertise, analyze relevant metrics, and provide recommendations based on industry standards. The role requires travel to various cities to meet key stakeholders with the goal of portfolio expansion.
  • Assess monthly production reports and guide the team in delivering constructive feedback to top-performing hotels.
  • Plan and conduct market visits and performance review meetings both virtually and in-person.
  • Generate review reports and share market insights with hotels, involving team members to promote growth.
  • Maintain a consistent focus on inventory availability and competitive pricing throughout the year.
  • Negotiate and finalize deals with hotel partners alongside your team, driving exclusive deals to secure a competitive advantage for the organization.
  • Lead and motivate team members to accomplish monthly target KRAs and contribute to portfolio growth.
  • Support the onboarding of new hotel partners and assist in geographic expansion efforts.
  • Collaborate with your team to implement promotional initiatives, optimize pricing strategies, and ensure continuous inventory availability.
  • Provide constructive feedback and career guidance to team members, fostering their professional development.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • An MBA degree from a recognized institute.
  • 6 to 10 years of experience in sales, travel trade, key account management, contracting, or B2B sales.
  • A strong business mindset focused on return on investment and overall business growth.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High energy levels, team-oriented attitude with a positive outlook.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
