Role Overview

This position is for a Windchill development specialist who will design, build, and tailor PTC Windchill solutions to match business needs. The role is centered on hands-on development, customization, integration, and support for PLM capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, develop, and adapt PTC Windchill solutions based on defined business needs.
• Improve and extend Windchill PDMLink, Change Management, workflow, and product structure features.
• Develop custom functionality using Windchill APIs, Java, JSP, J2EE, and related tools.
• Build integrations between Windchill and enterprise platforms such as ERP, MES, and other business systems.
• Set up and modify workflows, business rules, lifecycle stages, and access permissions.
• Support upgrade, migration, and implementation work from a development standpoint.
• Carry out code reviews, debugging, issue resolution, and performance improvements.
• Prepare technical design documentation and development specifications.
• Work with architects, functional teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable PLM solutions.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of practical experience in PTC Windchill development.
• Strong background in customizing and developing Windchill PDMLink.
• Working knowledge of Java, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, XML, JavaScript, and Windchill APIs.
• Experience building workflows, business rules, change management, and lifecycle management solutions.
• Good understanding of Windchill customization approaches, integrations, and extension frameworks.
• Prior involvement in Windchill upgrades, data migration, and deployment tasks.
• Solid grasp of PLM concepts, BOM management, engineering change management, and product data management.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning capability.
• Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
• This role is strictly for Windchill development; candidates with mainly support or production support backgrounds will not be considered.

Any graduate may apply, provided they meet the senior Windchill development experience required for the role.
