Toshiba JSW Power Systems Private Limited is a joint venture formed by Toshiba Corporation, Japan, and JSW Group, India. Established in 2008 and operational since 2011, the company specializes in manufacturing and marketing super-critical steam turbines and generators for thermal power plants in India. Their facility is located in Manali, Chennai, covering approximately 400,000 square meters, focusing on producing turbines ranging from 500MW to 1,000MW for advanced super-critical plants. Supported by Toshiba's power equipment unit in Japan, the company aims to reach a production capacity of 3,000MW annually.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform welding tasks using GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW techniques.
• Operate automated welding equipment including PTA, robotic, and overlay welding machines.
• Interpret engineering drawings with an emphasis on welding symbols.
• Handle furnace operations involving nitriding, electrical, and LPG systems.
• Operate Electric Overhead Travelling (EOT) cranes effectively and safely.
• Conduct plate bending and rolling processes as required.
• Utilize grinding and polishing tools, both pneumatic and electric.
• Execute gouging, gas cutting, and preheating operations.
• Maintain awareness and adherence to industrial safety norms and participate in 5S workplace organization activities.

Key Requirements

• Proficiency in operating OTC Daihen welding machines.
• Experience handling 6-axis robotic welding machines and semi-automatic welding equipment.
• Knowledge of post weld heat treatment (PWHT) procedures.
• Competency in operating EOT cranes.
• Skilled in using AG4 and AG7 die grinding pneumatic tools.
• Ability to handle auto welding machine technology efficiently.

Educational Qualifications

Candidates must possess ITI certification in Welding & Fitter or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME).
