Job description
Role Overview
Atlas Export Enterprises seeks a Weaving Outsourcing Coordinator to oversee and manage outsourced weaving activities primarily in Karur and neighboring regions. The role focuses on ensuring seamless production flow, maintaining consistent fabric quality, and guaranteeing on-time fabric deliveries that align with production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain daily communication with outsourced weavers and powerloom units concerning production status and deliveries.
- Supervise yarn availability and issuance, monitoring fabric manufacture and consumption closely.
- Track production progress by order and individual weavers, managing pending tasks and delivery timelines.
- Ensure fabrics are delivered punctually according to the production plans and deadlines.
- Collaborate closely with Quality, Production, Stores, and Sourcing teams to synchronize operations.
- Address quality issues, production setbacks, shortages, and implement corrective measures promptly.
- Prepare and upkeep detailed Excel/MIS reports and production databases.
- Evaluate weaver performance regularly on quality, quantity, and delivery metrics.
- Facilitate timely completion and closure of purchase orders (POs)/orders.
- Conduct site visits to outsourcing units as needed to monitor progress and resolve operational challenges.
Candidate Requirements
- Diploma, B.Sc., or B.Tech in Textile Technology or related fields.
- Minimum 3 years to maximum 8 years of experience in weaving or textile production.
- Preference for candidates with experience in outsourced weaving or coordinating powerloom units.
- Comprehensive understanding of yarns, fabric types, weaving processes, and production scheduling.
- Strong skills in communication, coordination, diligent follow-up, and negotiation.
- Proficient in MS Excel and capable of generating production and MIS reports.
- Familiarity with the Karur weaving and powerloom ecosystem is advantageous.
- Ready to travel to weaving units as part of job requirements.
